Be My Vision

Paraphrase of the classic hymn, "Be Thou My Vision"

Be my vision; be both my ability to see, and the one who interprets, perceives, and judges with love, the things that I see. Whatever I look at, may my heart and mind see what you see. May my mind perceive you in all things, just as my heart does.

Nothing else in this life is a worthwhile vision or life pursuit compared to you.

You are my best thought. In moments of life when a thought, perspective, judgment, or opinion crosses my mind that is love-based instead of fear-based, that thought is you. If I have a hopeful or joyous thought, it is not just one of my best thoughts, it is You.

Your presence of peace allows me to see things from the most true perspectives.

Be the wisdom by which I think and choose, and be the genuine, authentic words that I speak.

I am always with you. You are always with me.

You're like the greatest Father, and I am your true child.

You dwell within me. You and I are One.

You are a protective barrier that shields me. You are the sword that eradicates my mental and emotional tormentors. You are my defender who shuts the mouth of my hateful inner-accuser and critic.

You are my internal sense of dignity. Awareness of your dignified presence within me gives me great delight.

My soul's mind and emotions are sheltered in you. You are a very high tower that winds and floods cannot topple.

Lift my thoughts, attitudes, opinions, and perceptions heavenward. You are the quantum power and strength within my physical power and strength.

I don't need more money or material objects. I don't need people to acknowledge me for anything.

The confidence-boosting awareness of your presence is the only inheritance and wealth that I want or need; both now and into eternity.

You, and You only are the primary desire of my heart.

High King of Heaven. You are the treasure that I most deeply desire. You are my Love.
