Emotions: Messengers to Our Inner King
Sadness, anger, and other similar emotions can be useful. However, they should only remain active in your mind and soul for a short time. The emotion is simply a message. It is generally a message regarding something that has changed. Some kind of change (whether perceived as a good or bad change) occurred in an area of your inner kingdom (mind, body, and soul), and that emotion has come to get the attention of the king (your awareness) and deliver its message.
The king (our awareness) is supposed to sit with the emotion, slowly read (hear) the message in its entirety, consider the wisest options regarding how we will respond and/or proceed in life from here, and then select the best option. As we have probably observed in our own lives, the entire kingdom (our body, mind, and soul) will begin reacting and responding in alignment with whatever decree is made. This is why it's important that we (our inner awareness; the inner king) do not give in to fear or lower vibrational perspectives; how the king chooses to respond will affect our entire kingdom.
For example: if someone offends me, an emotion of anger might come running to the attention of my awareness, to the inner king. The anger will frantically and angrily spew its message to the king regarding what happened. Generally, the message is about an external event that was perceived as (felt like) an attack or a threat to our Kingdom (mind, body, or soul).
It is the king's responsibility to not respond hastily, nor lazily, in "the ways that it has always known". We must sit with that emotion (messenger) and hear the complete story, considering all sides and perspectives. Our inner awareness should then consult the Divine Spirit in our hearts. From here, the king (our inner awareness) chooses what message (plan and solution) to give back to the messenger. Whatever the king chooses, that message and response will be passed on throughout the entire kingdom.
It is most wise for our inner awareness (the inner king) to choose understanding, compassion, forgiveness, and ultimately love, regarding any threat or attack that it experiences. This is what keeps our kingdom under the banner of love. Choosing Love ensures peace will remain within our inner city of Jerusalem (the city of Peace). If we choose anything other than Love (fear, offense, worry, bitterness, revenge, etc.) then peace will begin to fade, and we will begin experiencing the effects of the rule of fear within our body, mind, and soul.
Emotions come to us often, but we are most aware of extreme emotions. These come from betrayals, offenses, injustices, and intense experiences of loss. It is our responsibility to ensure that our inner king is in alignment with love. Emotions (messages) come from all over, but we (the inner king) must not allow their messages to control us. We must not allow fear, anger, and the like to spread their message through our kingdom. We must become wise because we are the kings of our kingdoms. Whomever and whatever we (our inner king) choose to believe, serve, and align with will determine the ultimate rulership of our kingdom. The choices are Fear or Love. Be wise, choose Love.
Wow! Thank you for another vivid picture of our inner (real us) man (king) who dictates our responses to our environment, circumstances and relationships. This helps so much!
