Fill Your Storehouses: Memories

Fill Your Storehouses: Memories

In each moment or experience, take time to consider that you are creating memories. One day in the future you will look back on these moments and experiences (your memories). How you preceive and/or feel about those memories will affect many things about your future, including how you feel and how you make choices.

If we will make the most wise and loving choices in every moment, experience, and interaction, today (in the present moment), then our future will be have storehouses full of loving, wise, and joyful memories that we can feed off of, and share, even if we experience a season of drought.

Don't worry or be anxious, because you will be making memories of worry and angst. Don't fear for yourself or others. Give it to God; trust. Don't make memories of being fearful. Instead, see the good in all things. Think of, speak of, and journal about things that are lovely, worthy, good, pure, beautiful, peaceful, and true. Decide to see difficult experiences as opportunities to learn lessons. Learning is a gift from God. See God, see God's gift, in every experience.

Make heavenly memories so that your future will be heavenly. Fill your storehouses, your mental and emotional memories, with gratitude (aka, praise). Fill them with loving judgements of yourself and others. Fill them with acts and words of kindness. Fill them with silent moments of recognizing the peace and presence of God. Choose faith over fear, and one day you will be so wealthy that you will have an unlimited number of stories about God's faithfulness to share with those who are poor.
