Judgments of Love
If we will determine to start treating everyone with forgiveness, kindness, and mercy, to only, always, have merciful judgments toward others, we will notice our own inner-being (Soul) will begin to heal.
The critical, harsh, and judgmental thoughts that our Mind thinks toward others, are even worse toward ourselves (our Souls). Our souls are wounded due to living under fear, pressure, stress, condemnation, judgment, criticism, perfectionism, and accusations. This happens most often at the subconscious level of our Mind, and many people are unaware of this occurring. Yet, even if we are unaware of this occurrence we can start becoming aware of it by two pieces of evidence:
1. We notice unloving judgements, irritations, and annoyances within ourselves toward others.
2. It's apparent that our hearts (Souls) are still wounded.
If we notice unloving judgements, irritations, annoyances, and the like within ourselves toward others, this is proof that we also treat ourselves this way. How we judge others is how we judge ourselves. In sacred scripture it says,
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." - Matthew 7:1-2 NIV
Therefore, our outer judgements of others are merely a reflection of how we are being judged internally. According to the text, it is impossible to internally judge ourselves by different standards than those we put upon others.
If we notice that our souls are still wounded, this is proof that Love is lacking. If love were not lacking then there would be healing. If love is lacking, it is due to fear (punishment, criticism, accusation, condemnation, unloving judgment, etc.). While some of our wounds initially occurred at the hands of others, our souls have not yet healed because our Mind still agrees with these fears (aka, standards of judgment, criticism, accusation, etc.). An unhealed soul is proof that our Minds still agree with past unrighteous judgments (fear), and/or our Minds are still judging ourselves and others by this Antichrist (anti-love) standard.
Our unloving, unmerciful, unrighteous, non-Christ-like judgments, and our unhealed souls, are evidence that we need our Minds to be renewed. Our minds must be renewed to the same righteous, loving, and merciful Logic (Logos) that the Mind of Christ judges with. A renewed Mind - renewed from the old law to the law of Love - will treat our Soul with the same compassion and mercy that we observe Jesus (in the Bible) treating everyone with. This is also known as "having the Mind of Christ". Do we (not us, but our unrenewed Minds) unmercifully judge others for their failures, for their weakness, for their disability? For their lack of wise choices, their sins, their pursuits & desires, their financial use, parenting, etc.? If so, then we also place the same unmerciful judgments upon ourselves. And with unmerciful judgment comes condemnation, which deteriorates (weakens, harms) the soul. When we judge others without mercy, we are actually throwing condemnation upon our own soul. This is similar to the way that we poison our own soul when we do not forgive another.
The only people Jesus was ever seemingly "hostile" toward were the Pharisees, and this should be the same within our renewed Minds. In order for our Souls to heal we must choose to have the loving Mind of Christ; toward all people, and ourselves. The voices that we should allow to be replaced (renewed) within our minds are the voices of our internal Pharisees. Love every person, in every moment, no matter what. When our minds (thoughts) begin to default toward judgments of mercy for others, then we can be confident that within our hidden subconscious Mind we are judging ourselves the same way. And the result of this (the proof) will be that our soul begins to heal. Love and mercy heal. Harsh, critical, perfectionist, accusatory, unmerciful, unloving, irritable, annoying, or fearful judgments have never healed one thing, not ever. Let go of judgments. Always judge everything with mercy and grace. Choose Love in all things. Herein lies the Kingdom of God.
