Love is a Blazing Fire

Love is a blazing fire.

The igniting of a blazing fire 🔥 is often found to be frustrating, discouraging, and usually begins very slowly. The ignition is often not as fast or as easy as we would prefer. Those who have experienced this will attest that there are many variables to be considered, and which can work against us in this process.

This initial igniting of such a fire usually involves lots of gray smoke. The smoke makes it difficult to see, it burns our eyes, extracting tears, and even causes us to cough, temporarily losing our breath. Overall, the initial ignition of such a blazing fire can bring discomfort, disorientation, and some disappointment, which causes some of us to cease trying.

Push through the smoke. Trust and pursue, even when you can't see. Endure the discomfort. The fiery blaze of love that God wants to ignite in your heart is a consuming fire. Once we get past the initial phase of preparation, ignition attempts, and patiently waiting for the fire to grow, we will begin to experience worthwhile results. The smoke will clear and the flames will grow luminous, shedding the immense light and warmth of Love (God).

He is the Light (John 8:12). We are also the light (Matthew 5:14-16). He is Love, and we are offered the opportunity to become like Him. Love is a blazing fire. The world needs the light, warmth, and the protection of Love. Not many will want to sit by during the ignition phase, but once we allow ourselves to fully ignite we will have the opportunity to be like Christ in this world.
