Love, love, love.
Love, love, love, love. Before the creation of time and space, there was love. Before names, and forms, before the material world, there was love. Before anything existed, there was love. Before doctrines, stories, and belief systems, there was love.
Love has always been. Love will always be.
At our deepest core, we are love. All things are love. Love is God, and God is love. Love is all that we need. Love serves others. Love considers others. Love has no needs. Because love is everything, love has everything.
Love is the comforting sense of safety. Love is the absence of fear. Love is the confidence that eradicates anxiety. Love transcends doctrine and religion. Love can be found everywhere. Love cannot be bound. Love cannot be extinguished.
Love is like the sun. Like the light and heat from the sun, when we try to escape from love we distance ourselves, cover ourselves, hide, and turn away from it. Yet, even then love has not left. It is only less direct. Love is everywhere. Even if it is present in only the smallest quantity, love is still there. If there were a place with absolutely no love, that place would cease to exist. Nothing can exist without love, just as no material form can exist without the atom.
Love only limits itself, taking on the proverbial form of a sun, because it loves us all: for those who want less of the sun, of love, they can move further away from it. Love allows us to reject love or accept it at varying degrees; and this it does without judgment. Love fully loves us all, no matter what we choose.
Love is patience. Love is understanding. Love is freedom. Love is equality. Love is honor. Love is humble.
God is patient with all. God understands all. God allows freedom of choice to all. God treats all with equality (justice). God honors all of His creation. God is humble.
God within us is patient. Love within us chooses to be understanding of others. God in us allows others to live and choose freely. Love in us treats all others with equality and justice. God in us honors all life. Love in us chooses to walk in humility.
For me, I choose to turn toward the sun of love. I choose to look into the light. I choose to love the light. It's okay if others love lesser degrees of light. But, for me, I now choose light.
The light has always been with me, though I have often turned my back and hidden from it. At times, I have journeyed far to escape the light. But in those dark places I would often experience great fear and dread. In such moments, I would call to the light that I had so desperately tried to escape from, and the light would be there.
How humble and loving that light must be. To allow me to hate it, to run from it and hide from it, and in the moment that I needed it again, the light was there. The light had never left, it had only concealed itself in darkness for my sake. It hid its truest self because it loved me. Love honors our freedom, our weakness, and our ignorance. The light loved me enough to wrap itself in darkness. Yet, it never left, because love can never leave. The light is love.
Love will never leave you. You can be on the highest mountain, you can be in the depths of the sea, or on a far away planet, love will be there. Even if we make our bed in hell, and choose to live there, love is with us. Love is always with us, even if it hides itself in darkness. Love loves you. The light loves you. God loves you. They are always with you, forever.
