When God roars things are shaken. When God, The Lion, roars, when He speaks, things are shaken. The bible says that the devil is, once again, trying to copy God. He is trying to be like God. The devil pretends to be a lion.
When we encounter situations in life, things that are concerning to us, the devil speaks his words to us about those scenarios. He roars his words of worry. He wants us to be shaken. Shaken with fear.
“Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8 AMP
The devil will use multiple scenarios to roar in your face. He will try to look and sound like a lion. He is looking to see if his roar will cause a shaking and a trembling inside of you. If you shake with fear, if you give into fear, then the devil will see it.
He will recognize that something inside of you was shaken at his roar. Something inside of you is trembling in fear, doubt, worry, or anxiety, at the devil's roar. This shows him that a part of you, inside of you or your belief system, is under the reign of his authority and kingdom. His kingdom of fear.
Anything that is from God’s truth, His kingdom and beliefs, are superior to the devil. Truth and Faith in God are superior to the devils kingdom. God’s words, and our faith in them, are immune to & unaffected by, the devils roar. Anything in our lives that is truly handed over to and entrusted to God, in faith, can not be shaken by the devils roar.
There are various ways the devil uses circumstances to roar at us. Concerns about health, a loved one's life decisions, finances, Covid-19, being alone or abandoned, sickness, addiction, death. These, along with the fear based beliefs that have been allowed to live inside of us (our lack of faith), are how the devil roars at us.
The devils roar can only shake fear. It cannot and will never shake true faith. Real faith, and truth, that are inside of us from God’s spirit and His word will keep us at peace. God’s peace is unshaken. Just like Jesus when he slept on the boat during the storm. Nothing shook the peace that He lived in.
So, If you are shaking, if you are trembling inside due to a circumstance, or any fear, worry, etc, it’s only the devil’s fake roar. It’s a false belief, a fear. Possibly an underlying fear that God isn’t really in control. That's what is actually shaking.
It’s the devil, and you should realize that it’s the devils roar shaking something inside of you. If something is worrying you or making you tremble, it’s because your hope, trust, or your view of that scenario or thing, is not on the solid rock.
This is why Peter wrote, prefacing about the devil roaring like a lion, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:6-8 AMP
Remain humble before God. In regard to your health, circumstances, finances, children, your spouse. Remain humble, knowing you are under His Mighty hand.
Knowing that even if the storm has come, even if the storm is seemingly going to destroy you, it can only do what God allows. Even if weapons are made and fashioned specifically to be used against you, to kill you and harm you, God says that they can’t and they won't. They might be used against you, but their intended purpose wont succeed. God works ALL THINGS out for the good of those who are His.
In humility, know that you are under God’s Mighty hand. No storm, no weapon, no situation, nothing in this realm, or the spiritual realm, can or will do anything that He has not allowed. God is sovereign. In humility remember just how much in control He actually is. He has all control. He IS in ALL control.
Despite how things look or feel humble yourself by trusting God. Submit to, accept, and be ok with, whatever He has allowed, or will allow.
Peter then continues to say, “cast (throw) all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].”
If we hold onto our care, our concerns, our worries and fears, then when the enemy roars his fake lion roar we will be shaken. The enemy will see the fear and the weakness. He will see and hear the leaves shaking, because of the bush we are trying to hide in, as we tremble in fear.
Similar to what happened with Job, he even admitted, “What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.”
If we have fears, worries, concerns, etc then those things are under the enemies rule and authority. He can come in and act on, pounce upon, the weakness in us, our fears. He can come around and seek to devour the weak and timid parts of us that have not been given to God. But if we guard our minds, our beliefs, and our words and do not give in to fear but give all our fears and concerns to God, then the enemy has no place in us.
If our cares, worries, anxieties, and uncertainties have been handed over to God, The Sovereign One who is actually in control of EVERYTHING, then we will have no fear. No reason to shake or tremble at the roar of the fake lion.
At this, at the lack of us shaking and being in fear or worry at the devil's roar, the enemy will see our peace. He will see our resolve. The fake lion will see the unshaken, steadfastness of our hearts and minds. He will recognize it. The demons might even say to each other, “Look! They stand still. They sit still. They sit, just like the way God sits, upon His throne.”
God sits, unmoved, unshaken, undisturbed, upon His throne. He is never shaken, never worried. The enemy observes, and then reports to the other demons that, “They stand! We roared, but they are still standing! They sit, without fear. And they even sleep. They sleep like….. like, Jesus!” And at the mention of His name they will fall. At the mention, even at the thought of His name, they will tremble. They will shutter in raw terror and fear.
At the sight of one of God’s children looking like their Father, being like their Father, the enemies own fears, their own terror, torment, and fright that they attempted to instill in you and upon you, it will all come back upon them.
“You believe that God is one; you do well [to believe that]. The demons also believe [that], and shudder and bristle (tremble) [in awe-filled terror—they have seen His wrath]!”
James 2:19 AMP
So choose. Choose whose roar you will tremble at. Choose who you will believe is in control. Who is in control of, literally, every situation that occurs? Who do you believe is always in control? Whom do you fear?
Keep learning. Keep recognizing your areas of worry, concern, and fears so that you can get rid of them. Get rid of the things that so easily entangle you. “Be sober, be alert”. Pay attention to what is going on in your mind, your beliefs, your fears, worries, and even your emotions. Be aware of concerns, and cares, and fears that need to be handed to God.
The only roar that should shake us, the only trembling that should occur in us, is when Our Father, The Lion, roars. And we will not tremble in the same type of hopeless fear as the devil. We will be shaken and moved at His magnificent, extraordinary power. His roar, His words, will create life in us. His roar, God’s roar, creates change in us, and around us.
Just as His roar, His word, created the universe, watch what His roar will do inside of you. When we listen for and hear The roar of The real lion, “The Lion of Judah”; Life, Faith, Hope, Love, Mercy, Goodness, Blessing, Kindness, Peace, Joy, it will shake. It will move, it will stir, but it will build.
God’s roar, His word, only tears down what is worthless. Watch and see what God’s roar will create. He will create the best things, even better things than you could possibly imagine, out of the worst scenarios. Scenarios that were meant to harm you.
His roar will create something amazing inside of us, and all around us. Just like He created the universe out of nothing, His roar will create beautiful life inside of you and all around you. Even if it had not existed there before.
His roar is superior to all others. When The Lion roars everything, and everyone, knows whose Kingdom is above all. The devil wants us to shake at his fake roar. But the devil himself shakes, even trembles, WHEN "THE LION" ROARS.

[Here are some more scriptures regarding “lions” and the “roar”. Maybe some will speak to you.]
They will walk after the Lord [in obedience and worship], Who will roar like a lion; He will roar [summoning them] And His sons will come trembling from the west.
Hosea 11:10 AMP
For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Once more, in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the desirable and precious things of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory and splendor,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts. ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I shall give [the ultimate] peace and prosperity,’ declares the Lord of hosts.”
Haggai 2:6-9 AMP
“There will be signs (attesting miracles) in the sun and moon and stars; and on the earth [there will be] distress and anguish among nations, in perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea and the waves, people fainting from fear and expectation of the [dreadful] things coming on the world; for the [very] powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with [transcendent, overwhelming] power [subduing the nations] and with great glory. Now when these things begin to occur, stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near.”
Luke 21:25-28 AMP
His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth , but also the [starry] heaven .” Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken—that is, of that which has been created—so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe;
Hebrews 12:26-28 AMP
“For behold, I am commanding, And I shall shake and sift the house of Israel among all nations [and cause it to tremble] Like grain is shaken in a sieve [removing the chaff], But not a kernel [of the faithful remnant] shall fall to the ground and be lost [from My sight].
Amos 9:9 AMP
So I will be like a lion to them; Like a leopard I will watch and lie in wait [ready to attack] by the road [to Assyria]. I will encounter them like a bear robbed of her cubs, And I will tear open their chests; There I will also devour them like a lioness, As a wild beast would tear them.
Hosea 13:7-8 AMP
Then one of the [twenty-four] elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look closely, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome and conquered! He can open the scroll and [break] its seven seals.”
Revelation 5:5 AMP
